Friend Interviews Friend

Our friend George Flores interviewed our friend Tony Loeffler on THE GATE this morning.

Earlier I posted the rebroadcast times of the interview, but the times were all pushed back one week because Phil Keaggy has a concert in NYC on November 4: http://www.PhilKeaggy.com/tour/

I got to meet Phil in Honduras on a Compassion artists retreat (www.RichDrama.com/Compassion). I was seriously impressed by his talent and humility.

So here are the interview time slots:

Sunday 8:40AM

Monday 9:40PM

Tuesday 1:40PM

Wednesday 8:40AM

Thursday 9:40PM

Saturday 7:40AM

Those will be Phil's interviews starting 10/28 and Tony starting 11/4. All times in the Eastern Time Zone.

We were planning to perform in a church in Cuba, and the pastor told us there would be a musician there that morning who knew who we were, but the pastor couldn’t remember the musician’s name. It was Tony! We’ve known him since the mid-90’s.

After a three-hour service the people were dismissed, but they just kept dancing and singing and praising the Lord. Tony leaned over to me and said, “This is happening all over Cuba.”

Here's an interview I did with Tony that day, December 11, 2016. Click the arrow below, or if you're receiving this in an email visit www.Blog.RichDrama.com (10/22).

Colonel Papa Cubano

An atheist says yes to the Lord and becomes a great father of his children and his denomination in Cuba.

Colonel Julio Moreno invited us to Cuba to perform my 1-man play Views of the Manger. While visiting with them we heard the stories of how he moved from being an atheist to being the head of the Salvation Army in Cuba, alongside his wife, Colonela Layanis, who introduced him to the Lord. When he told this story of provision we wanted to dramatize it.

It stars Marco Santiago (America's Next Top Model), Patricia Mauceri (Courageous Love, The Farmer and the Belle, One Life to Live), and I narrate it.

It was an official selection at the Hollywood Divine International Film Festival and the International Christian Film and Music Festival.

You can watch it right now on 24Flix.

Another sketch!

Some of the Cubans we worked with to
create a sketch while we were there.

I just heard that the church in Cuba where we helped create a new drama is working on their next! Hurrah!!!

I play a lead in Providence, which you can bring to your area.

Cuba Report Report

At our apartment complex for performing artists we get to use a room for performances, and I asked if I could perform Views of the Manger, the one-man play I performed in Cuba a couple of weeks ago, followed by rough cuts of some short films we shot while we were there. They said we couldn't do it during December, but there were plenty of dates in January. I figured no one would want to see a Christmas play in January, but then we realized it was a perfect fit for Epiphany, the celebration of the Wise Men visiting the Lord, especially since the narrator of the play is one of those Magi.

We couldn't have been more pleased with how things went on Epiphany Eve (the closest we could get to Epiphany itself). We had a good turn-out, a great response, wonderful follow-up conversations, and the huge bonus of having someone in the audience we'd crossed paths with in Cuba! He joined us for our Q and A at the end, and he gave more details about one of the stories I told in one of the short films, and he was able to share much more about Cuba, having visited many more times than us.

You can find out more about the trip at www.RichDrama.com/Cuba.
