I submitted a short film to The Quarantine Film Festival with two minutes to spare! It's an adaptation from my one-man play The Acts.

If your church is interested in showing it, please contact us through the contact form at the very bottom of this page.

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

Tonight I got to encourage Westchester Chapel to keep their eyes on Jesus -- not on the storm or fear around them -- as I illustrated Matthew 14: 22-33 with a video reenactment of Peter walking on the water.

The video was shot in Israel in 2011 while on the Sea of Galilee. You can see it below.

I also sang Rich Mullins' song I See You and played a music video Sanctify My Life from the short film A Matter of Perspective. You can see the music video below.

Pictured below is our family farm which I mention. I also refer to my one-man play about 911 called 5 Bells for 911.

Prepare While We Shelter!

Joyce shares from Acts 1 how the disciples used their time of sheltering in place to prepare through prayer, fellowship and organizational healing.  She encourages the congregants to use this sacred time of sheltering to prepare as persons and as a people for the mission of building God's Kingdom on earth.

Illustrating the unique times we are living in, Joyce shared this weekday view of the usually busy 42nd Street in Manhattan.

I got to open in prayer, and I shared a filmed version of a scene from my one-man play, The Acts. I'm wanting to make adjustments before posting it, so stay tuned.

Son Rise Service

I hope you're able to attend an online Resurrection Day service, if not, send me a message in the form below and I'll send you an invite to our virtual service. In the meantime I invite you to supplement it with this service at Bethany Baptist Church, where I performed for their Resurrection Day service last year.

Worship led by David Paul Hudgens. Dance by Nicki Hudgens. On that Good Friday I performed Journey to the Garden at Bethany Baptist Church. We could join forces and do that play with a worship set and close with the dance and resurrection for your community! Scroll down to Booking Info to start a conversation.

The Story of Christ's Passion

We put together a dramatic reading of the story of Christ's Passion taken from all four Gospels. It is illustrated with works of classic artists over a music bed by John Fornof. This was conceived and performed live for the Good Friday service at Westchester Chapel Church of the Nazarene, April 10, 2020.

Pastor Randy mentions how Jesus healed the leper. The series The Chosen dramatizes that story very well:

Trapping Terry the Tarantula

While Joyce and I were teaching and performing in Africa last fall, we had a roommate we named Larry the Lizard. One night we noticed he'd moved out, and then we found out why...

Prayers for Redemption and Rest

Joyce and I have occasionally had restless nights during this pandemic, and we know others are having the same issue. A former student of mine sent me a link to some recorded prayers over music, and I was moved... and inspired! We have friends who are musicians!

So we recorded these prayers and put them over a bed of music created by our friend Paula Kasica and her musical colleague, David Hadden. The piece is entitled, "Rest." We hope it blesses you at eventide. I asked Joyce if I should mention that it put me to sleep twice while we were editing it, but she said I should share full disclosure: Falling asleep is one of my spiritual gifts! Well, hopefully I've imparted something of that gift through these prayers:

Hit the arrow to play, or if you're getting this in an email you can hear them and future prayers we're hoping to post at www.RichDrama.com/Prayers.

Paula and David's album, "Breath of God," is available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.
